I took advantage of this and was delighted to get reacquainted with some of my European friends. It was another year of opportunity for which I’m super grateful and more success for my Bundoran Weekly podcast and the year I found my new passion - Formula 1. Thanks to everyone who has been there for me over the past 12 months and much love to you all for 2022. Happy. New Year x

For a long time now I’ve needed a hobby. It’s For a long time now I’ve needed a hobby. It’s no secret that I’m pretty addicted to my work and I needed an outlet that wasn’t work related. That outlet earlier this year became, much to the surprise of those who know me well and my disinterest in sport, Formula One.

Yes, like many, it has been a result of watching Drive to Survive and what a first season for me to become a fan. I started to follow Max early on and have admired his calmness throughout the season in the face of such intense weekly pressure.

While there’s lots about it still to understand I can’t begin to describe my happiness today as he is crowned world champion for this first time after a nail biting battle which went right down to the last lap of the last race of the year.

Thank you Max and Formula One for an epic season - roll on 2022!
